4.22 and falling

Made it up various spots fairly easily. Below Md was moderate. Md chute was fairly easy, but needed work to find the slow water and good strokes up. Wetbottom , we used the first staging eddy a boatlength or so, the ferried over to the second and that was definitely a good workout...moderate. Backchannel was a little tougher than lower, but made it up to the main attain easily. no luck getting up the last slot.

Hmmm...MD Chute was moderate if, and only if, you got your boat to the right spot. It seemed to be no more than 2 ft off the rock --- followed by a sharp cutback to the right. The good news is that when you got to the right spot, you could really feel the water working with you.

And Clay really made Wet Bottom look easy...I had to work a bit harder.

The move up the back channel to Sandy Beach is a hoot! The second to the last up at this level is through this rooster tail thing. Looks kinda evil, but is the strangest elevator I may have ever done. If you get on the right spot, it just takes you up with nothing more than an easy brace.

A great level to work on powerful, accurate stroke technique, both upstream and downstream.
